Helen Fletcher Appointed as Club Safeguarding Officer at Leicestershire CCC

Leicestershire County Cricket Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Helen Fletcher as the Club’s new Club Safeguarding Officer.
Helen joins the team with a wealth of experience in safeguarding and welfare, having worked within the police for 32 years and retiring as DCI. In that time, Helen had strategic responsibility for children and adult safeguarding during her career. Her appointment reinforces the Club’s commitment to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for everyone involved in cricket at all levels.
Speaking about her appointment, Helen said: “I’m delighted to be joining Leicestershire CCC and look forward to working with the Club and its wider community to uphold the highest standards of safeguarding. Cricket is a game for everyone, and it’s vital that we continue to provide safe spaces where people can thrive both on and off the field.â€
Chief Executive Officer Sean Jarvis added: “We’re thrilled to welcome Helen to the team. Safeguarding is a fundamental part of everything we do at the Club, and Helen’s knowledge and experience will be invaluable as we continue to promote the welfare of everyone involved in the game.â€
Helen’s appointment is effective immediately, and she will be based at the Uptonsteel County Ground.
