John Williams to depart role as Commercial Director at Leicestershire County Cricket Club

Leicestershire County Cricket Club can confirm that John Williams will be leaving his position as Commercial Director at the end of August.

Since joining the club, John has formed part of the Senior Management Team whilst playing a key role in driving significant commercial growth, helping to transform the club’s off-field performance and laying strong foundations for future success.

Chief Executive Officer Sean Jarvis paid tribute to John’s contribution, saying:

“John has been a fantastic part of our senior leadership team. His incredible hard work, dedication, and professionalism have played a major part in the club’s recent commercial progress. He leaves behind a structure that is built to last, and on behalf of everyone at Leicestershire CCC, I want to thank him for everything he’s done and wish him the very best in his next chapter.”

Reflecting on his time at Leicestershire, John Williams said:

“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together. Highlights include delivering ticketing revenues at over 170% of budgeted target with many home games still to play, reaching our commercial sponsorship budget well ahead of the end of the financial year, and I’ve been able to build a talented and committed team that’s delivering across all areas. I genuinely believe I’m leaving the club in a much stronger place than when I arrived, and it’s been a privilege to be part of such a special organisation. I wish the club and its loyal supporters all the very best for the future.”

An update regarding John’s replacement will be shared with supporters in due course.
