Josh Hull Snapped Up By Manchester Originals

Leicestershire CCC seamer Josh Hull will take part in this summer’s The Hundred after being snapped up by Manchester Originals in Wednesday's draft.

The 6ft 7” bowler will represent Simon Katich’s side across July and August, joining the likes of Jos Buttler and Phil Salt at Emirates Old Trafford.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a meteoric rise during his maiden season in professional cricket last summer, taking 32 wickets as he debuted in all three formats.

Those figures included 17 wickets at 24.23 in Leicestershire’s Metro Bank One Day Cup title win, with the tall left-armer holding his nerve in the last over of the final to get the Foxes over the line.

Hull is the second Leicestershire player to be selected for 2024’s iteration of The Hundred, with fellow Academy graduate Rehan Ahmed retained for a third season by Southern Brave.
