Louis Kimber will return to Birmingham Phoenix for The Hundred 2025 after being selected during the Vitality Wildcard Draft on Tuesday morning.
The Foxes’ T20 skipper - who featured twice for the Edgbaston-based outfit last summer - has been called up alongside Liam Patterson-White as a Wildcard pick for this year’s competition, which gets underway on 5 August.
Kimber’s selection follows a strong run of form in the Vitality Blast, with the all-rounder scoring 225 runs at an average of 22.5 “ striking at a mighty 178.57 “ and taking seven wickets at 23.71.
The 28-year-old is set to play under former New Zealand spinner Daniel Vettori, featuring alongside the likes of Ben Duckett, Trent Boult, Liam Livingstone and Tim Southee, as Phoenix hunt their first Hundred title.
He joins Leicestershire teammates Rehan Ahmed and Josh Hull at this summer’s iteration of the tournament, with the pair representing Trent Rockets and Welsh Fire respectively.
