Leicestershire CCC Confirm 2023 Second XI Fixture List

Leicestershire’s Second XI will get their 2023 campaign underway in Southport next week as they take on Lancashire in their Second Eleven Championship (SEC) opener (Tuesday, 11 April).
Back-to-back fixtures at Kibworth, who are also set to host the Foxes’ first team in August, will follow for Dips Patel’s side, as Yorkshire (17 April) and Durham (1 May) visit Fleckney Road.
The twos will then travel for four successive away ventures, including three T20 double-headers, before their first visit of the season to Uptonsteel County Ground “ taking on Derbyshire in a T20 clash (22 May).
A second East Midlands T20 derby at Grace Road will conclude the month, as Nottinghamshire make the short trip on 30 May.
One of the more eye-catching fixtures of the Second’s summer is the visit of South Asian Cricket Academy in mid-August, with the programme making its maiden appearance at Uptonsteel County Ground for a 50-over friendly on 16 August.
The return of the SEC will close the season, as the Foxes host Derbyshire at Loughborough Town (28 August), before travelling to the Ageas Bowl to face Hampshire (12 September) for their final four-day fixture.
