Leicestershire CCC Extend Durant Cricket Partnership

Leicestershire CCC has extended its association with long-serving partner Durant Cricket for the 2023 campaign.

The Rutland-based company played an integral role in the Foxes’ pre-season preparations, after installing a bespoke netting system in the Mike Turner Indoor Cricket Centre.

Durant developed the netting apparatus, featuring a new 33-metre-long net, as well as installing a refurbished canvas, three dropdown nets, a new back net, and a fresh set of trollies.

The work adds to the upgrades Durant have previously completed in the Club’s outdoor nets, which saw the specialist cricket equipment company produce an artificial surface in the famed training facility.

Durant, who also install electronic scoreboards, mobile covers, sight screens, and other vital cricketing tools, work closely with LCCC’s Community Team to enhance the quality of recreational clubs’ equipment across the county.

Commenting on the extension, Leicestershire CEO Sean Jarvis said: “We have consistently said that this pre-season has been the hardest the Club has ever seen, with a lot of hard yards put in during a winter of intense indoor and outdoor net sessions.

“The work Durant Cricket have done to enhance our training facilities has been immense, and we already seeing the benefits through a fantastic start to the 2023 season. We are excited to extend our association with Durant once again.”
