Leicestershire County Cricket Club is thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new podcast, ‘Caught in Conversation’.
Join LCCC seamer Roman Walker and co-host Jack Gabriel as we deep dive into the lives of elite athletes and uncover fascinating, untold stories.
From cricketing legends to revered sporting stars, we’ll get to know our guests on a personal level and unearth the secrets to their success. Expect in-depth discussions, behind-the-scenes stories, and a healthy dose of humour as we explore the personalities and passions that drive these incredible athletes.

Our first episode is a special one, as we are joined by a Leicestershire legend and one of cricket’s most eminent sons. With a playing career spanning over an incredible four decades, scoring a mammoth 23,500 runs, and five major honours to his name, our first guest is none other than ex-England International and Foxes icon, Paul Nixon.
The current Leicestershire boss discusses his Cumbrian roots, the battle to make it as a professional cricketer, making his idol David Gower happy, the ‘special’ County Championship winning sides of 1996 and 1998, the motivations behind his shock move to Kent, debuting for England at the age of 36, and his ‘fairy-tale’ career swansong.
