Leicestershire Extend Ben Green Loan For Further Two Matches

Ben Green will return to Leicestershire for a further two Rothesay County Championship matches after the Club agreed a loan extension with Somerset.
The all-rounder will be eligible for the Foxes’ home clashes with Glamorgan and Middlesex at Uptonsteel County Ground in June following the first block of Vitality Blast matches.
Green has been an ever-present for Leicestershire so far this season, with his 22 wickets and 215 runs helping Alfonso Thomas’ side establish themselves as the runaway leaders at the top of Division Two after seven matches.
The 27-year-old claimed his maiden first-class five-fer and hit the winning runs away at Gloucestershire in April, while his three wickets during Middlesex’s second innings inspired a historic victory for Leicestershire at Lord’s earlier this month.
Holding a 31-point lead at the summit of the second division after the first half of the campaign, Leicestershire will now turn their attention to T20 cricket, with the Vitality Blast beginning at home to Derbyshire Falcons on Friday.
