Leicestershire Foxes Reach List A Semi-Finals For First Time In 22 Years

They’ve done it! Leicestershire Foxes have qualified for the semi-final stages of a List A competition for the first time since 2001.

Hampshire’s three-wicket victory over Kent Spitfires this afternoon was not sufficient enough to see them leapfrog Leicestershire on net run rate, meaning the Foxes top Group A of the Metro Bank One Day Cup and go straight through to a home semi-final at Uptonsteel County Ground on Tuesday (29 August).

They will host the winners of Friday’s quarter-final between Lancashire and Gloucestershire, with Tuesday’s crunch fixture to kick off at 2:00pm at Uptonsteel County Ground.

Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Wednesday exclusively to Members and Gower Members, before going on general sale at 12pm.

Members and Gower Members will receive an exclusive purchasing link via email, or can phone the Club’s ticket office on 0116 283 2128. This priority window will not expire, but Members are encouraged to purchase their tickets as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

General sale tickets will be available online via the Club’s website, on our official app, over the phone, or in-person at the Curzon Road ticket office, from midday tomorrow.

CEO Sean Jarvis has called for Members and the county to get behind the Foxes ahead of the Club’s first List A semi-final in 22 years.

He said: “Reaching the semi-final stages is an incredible achievement, but the job is nowhere near done. We have an opportunity to achieve greatness with two more victories, and that starts at Uptonsteel County Ground.

“It’s the biggest home game in more than a decade and we passionately urge the people of Leicestershire to get behind their county in what could be a historic day at Grace Road.
