Leicestershire Women Fixture Details Confirmed

Leicestershire Women will play the entirety of their inaugural Vitality Blast Women’s League 2 home campaign at Uptonsteel County Ground, after fixture details were confirmed on Tuesday.

Stephen Franklin’s side will also play three of their four home Metro Bank One Day Cup group stage clashes on Grace Road, with Uppingham School hosting the meeting with Worcestershire on 27 April.

New in 2025, Uptonsteel County Ground will see three Women’s standalone T20 fixtures for the first time. In a duo of East Midlands derbies, regional bragging rights will be at stake when the Foxes face Northants Steelbacks (27 June) and Derbyshire Falcons (6 July), while Lincolnshire or Cheshire will visit LE2 for the Vitality T20 County Cup 2nd round tie (10 May).

The confirmed schedule also features two T20 double header matchdays alongside Leicestershire Men “ a tradition which has seen Leicestershire Women win four from four in previous seasons - with both Foxes outfits primed to take on Worcestershire Rapids (15 June) and Yorkshire (18 July).

Led by skipper Becki Brooker, Leicestershire kick off their maiden campaign as a Tier Two county against Northamptonshire on Sunday 20 April.
