Lewis Goldsworthy Extends Loan For Two County Championship Fixtures

Lewis Goldsworthy has extended his loan with Leicestershire to cover the next two Vitality County Championship matches.

The all-rounder originally signed on a T20-only deal but will remain with the Foxes for red-ball fixtures against Sussex and Middlesex over the next two weeks.

Goldsworthy has made an impressive start to his time at Uptonsteel County Ground, taking seven wickets at an average of just 11.71 from his opening four Vitality Blast matches.

The 23-year-old has also shown his quality in red-ball cricket. Featuring predominantly as a middle order batter for Somerset, Goldsworthy has scored 1,092 runs at 30.33 “ including two centuries in Division One.

Goldsworthy will be available for Sunday’s trip to Hove and next week’s home clash against Middlesex, as well as the Foxes’ seven remaining Vitality Blast fixtures.
