For one final time this season, Leicestershire Women are ready and raring as they prepare to bring the curtain down on a memorable Tier Two campaign at home to Gloucestershire.

The Foxes are bidding to end the year with back-to-back wins having defeated Derbyshire by 126 runs on Monday, thanks to superb centuries from Cesca Sweet and Hayley Brown.

Gloucestershire still have a shot at making the semi-final stages, knowing a win at Uptonsteel County Ground could be enough to lift them into the top four.

Squad:

Aimee Colquhoun and Scarlett Hughes both return to the squad. Ellen Watson and Isla-Rose Williamson are unavailable this weekend.

“Confidence is high after the Derbyshire performance. To set our record score and highest ever partnership was a brilliant effort; Cesca and Hayley deserve a lot of credit for the way they played.

“It was a morale boosting win, one we’ve been searching for. Now it’s about backing that performance up against a good side in Gloucestershire.

“For us, it’s definitely not a dead rubber. It’s another opportunity to individually and collectively showcase our skills, as well as build momentum to take into the winter.”
