It’s do or die in Derbyshire, as Leicestershire’s Finals Day charge heads down to the wire at Repton School.

Victory in Sunday’s East Midlands derby will secure the Foxes’ spot at The County Ground next weekend, as Stephen Franklin’s side bid to overtake Northamptonshire Steelbacks into second.

Both sides are looking to respond to defeats on Friday, with Leicestershire looking to channel the quality which saw them see off the Falcons by three wickets earlier this month.

“We’ve put ourselves in a great position. We know what we need to do in order to qualify and there’s a lot of belief in the group that we can do that.

“Friday’s performance was a great response against a top team. If we can repeat some of those elements again on Sunday, we’ll know we’ve given ourselves the best possible chance of winning.

“There will be a bit of added pressure but being in these kinds of situations is why we play the game. Leicestershire has an amazing history in T20 cricket, and we want to add to that.”
