It’s Derby Day at Uptonsteel County Ground on Sunday, as the Foxes take on the Falcons in a crucial T20 tussle.

Leicestershire have won back-to-back Blast matches, both on Grace Road, and will be looking to make home advantage count again when Derbyshire make the trip across the East Midlands.

The visitors sit a point, and two places, behind Stephen Franklin’s Foxes in a tightly-contested North Group, with both sides having their sights set on a place at Finals Day.

“Everyone’s contributed to the wins, which has been great. We’ve put on good partnerships throughout the order, playing positive, aggressive cricket to get us over the line.

“Personally, I haven’t had the opportunity to take the new ball much before, so it was hard at first, but I’ve really enjoyed that responsibility.

“Emma [Thatcher] and I have gelled as a partnership. We’ve both applied pressure which has helped each other carry out our plans. Those starts have been backed up so well in the middle, and there’s a lot of bowling options; I feel bad for [Becki] Brooker.

“It would mean a lot [to get to Finals Day]. In the T20 County Cup, we got to the quarter-finals, which was special, but we wanted to go further. To make it to Finals Day in our first year would be a huge achievement.

Holly Whitfield is back in contention, with D’Nica Roff also hoping to break into the XI which beat the Steelbacks last time out.
