It’s time for part two of Rivals Weekend, as Leicestershire Foxes battle Notts Outlaws on Sunday afternoon at Uptonsteel County Ground. And there’s a lot at stake.
Friday night’s superb chase against the Steelbacks ensured the Foxes remain in contention for a place in the knockout stages, sitting fourth with two games to play.
The Outlaws suffered a 30-run defeat away at Durham, and are rock bottom of the North Group heading into Sunday’s clash.

FAMOUS FIXTURE:
2021’s meeting at Uptonsteel County Ground will still be fresh in the memory for many Foxes fans, with Leicestershire edging a nail-biter by two wickets with just two balls to spare.
Naveen-ul-Haq hit both of his deliveries to the fence to steer the side to a final over win, aided by some early fireworks from Josh Inglis (42, 19b) and Arron Lilley (42, 23b).
It followed an impressive comeback with the ball. Notts were 151/4 midway through the 16th, before the Foxes’ attack rallied to dismiss the Outlaws for 173. Naveen (3/33) and Colin Ackermann (3/35) each claiming three apiece.
DECISIVE DUEL:
Belligerent batting at the top of the order is essential for sides looking to set or chase the kind of totals we’ve seen on Grace Road this year. With that in mind, the success of Sol Budinger and Joe Clarke could have a huge say on who comes out on top.
Facing his former county, Budinger will be brimming with confidence following a rapid 45 (25b) on Friday. The left-hander has 163 runs in the competition, and boasts the highest strike rate of any Foxes batter (156.73).
In an underwhelming campaign for the Outlaws, Clarke has led from the front defiantly with the bat. Notts’ captain has put up 265 runs at 26.5, striking similarly to Budinger at 154.97.
SQUAD:
The Foxes are unchanged for Sunday’s fixture.
Leicestershire Foxes: Ahmed, Budinger, Cox+, Currie, Goldsworthy, Handscomb*, Hull, Kimber, Mike, Neesham, Patel, Scriven, Swindells, Wood.
