Ratcliffe College Return As Official Partner & Academy Home Venue

Leicestershire County Cricket Club is pleased to announce Ratcliffe College’s return as Official Partner and official home venue for the Academy Pathway Under 12 to Under 15 programme for the 2023 season.

Leicestershire County Cricket Club (LCCC) and Ratcliffe College have been in partnership since 2018, and we are proud to announce that Ratcliffe College are continuing their support for our Academy setup this season.

As part of the 2023 partnership, the College has also become the player sponsor for Foxes seam bowler, Matt Salisbury, who arrived from Durham during the winter.

LCCC’s U12 to U15 Academy Pathway players will play at Ratcliffe for their 2023 season, while the College’s cricket facilities have also been the hub for practice sessions throughout the winter programme and also during the summer season.

The partnership offered the College’s Preparatory School pupils the opportunity to come along to the Uptonsteel County Ground on Tuesday 20th June, where they formed the guard of honour for the Leicestershire Foxes vs Notts Outlaws T20 Blast fixture.

LCCC also collaborates with the College by providing specialist staff development sessions, including ground staff maintenance advice from LCCC’s Head Groundsman, Andy Ward and his team, strength and conditioning advice from the LCCC’s Sports Science and Medicine Department, and player masterclasses to support the cricket programme at Ratcliffe College.
