Scyld Berry to Address the Leicesteshire Cricket Society

The Leicestershire Cricket Society is delighted to announce that its first guest speaker of the 2025/26 winter season will be Scyld Berry, the highly respected Cricket Correspondent of the Daily Telegraph and one of the game’s most authoritative voices.

Scyld, who has reported on the sport for decades and written extensively on the history and culture of cricket, will share his unique insights into the modern game, its leading characters, and the challenges facing cricket today. His talks are renowned for their blend of knowledge, humour, and deep passion for the sport.

The meeting will be held on Thursday 9th October 2025, starting at 7.30pm, in the Charles Palmer Suite at the Uptonsteel County Ground, Leicester.

Annual membership of the Society remains excellent value at just £20, offering access to a packed programme of distinguished speakers throughout the winter months. Non-members are warmly invited to attend individual meetings for a fee of £5 on the door.
