Leicestershire County Cricket Club is delighted to announce that all-rounder Tom Scriven has signed a contract extension with the Foxes, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2027 season.
The new deal is an extension to Scriven’s previous contract, which was due to expire at the end of the 2026 campaign, and underlines the Club’s commitment to one of its most consistent performers across formats.
Scriven made his senior debut for Leicestershire in 2022 during the Metro Bank One Day Cup and has since become a key figure in the Foxes’ squad. The 27-year-old has gone on to make 87 appearances across all three formats, taking an impressive 142 wickets in Leicestershire colours.
The contract extension comes off the back of a prolific year in First Class cricket for Scriven, where he impressed with both bat and ball. Highlights included claiming his maiden five-wicket haul away to Lancashire, as well as registering a career-best score of 99 against Kent at Canterbury.
Scriven expressed his delight at extending his stay with the Foxes and believes the Club is heading in the right direction: “I’m really happy to have extended my contract with Leicestershire,†Scriven said.
“This Club has given me so many opportunities since my debut and I feel I’ve developed a lot here. Last season was a special one for me personally, but I’m focused on contributing even more to the team and helping us push forward over the next few years.â€
Head Coach, Alfonso Thomas, said: “Tom has worked incredibly hard since making his debut and has shown real growth as a cricketer over the past few seasons.â€
“He’s someone who gives everything for the team, contributes in all facets of the game and continues to improve year on year. We’re delighted he’s committed his future to the Club, and we’re excited to see how he continues to progress.â€
