Returning to Leicestershire in the winter of 2022, James Taylor tasted success in his first campaign back as at the Club, as the Foxes won the Metro Bank One Day Cup.
Assistant to Head Coach Alfonso Thomas, as well as holding the post of Lead Batting Coach, James holds a wealth of experience at the top level of cricket after being one of the shining lights of his generation.
Starting his career with Leicestershire as a player, James made his debut against Worcestershire in April 2008. He recorded more than 16,000 professional runs and scored 35 centuries in an eight-year career, which was crucially cut short by a heart condition diagnosis.
James made 34 appearances in the international arena for England, headlined by an ODI century against Australia in 2015, while he also lifted the T20 Blast trophy with the Foxes in 2011. of Lead Batting Coach, James holds a wealth of experience
