A new recruit ahead of the 2026 campaign, Jonny Tattersall adds a wealth of Division One experience to Leicestershire following more than a decade with home county Yorkshire.

Originally joining on loan before beginning his three-year deal, the wicketkeeper-batter made his Foxes debut in the final fixture of the 2025 campaign as Leicestershire celebrated their Division Two title by beating Northamptonshire at The County Ground.

With more than 150 career appearances and almost 5,000 runs - bested by a knock of 180 not out against Surrey – to his name since his Yorkshire debut in 2013, Tattersall has also enjoyed loan spells with Gloucestershire and Surrey.

The Harrogate-born star possesses extensive leadership experience, having captained the White Rose during the 2022 and 2024 One Day Cup campaigns. He later deputised for Shan Masood to lead his home county to Division One promotion as an ever-present in 2024.

An agile gloveman, Tattersall has completed 240 dismissals behind the stumps, adding further depth to Leicestershire’s wicketkeeping department alongside Ben Cox.
