Arriving from Nottinghamshire at the back end of the 2022 season, his debut fifty against Durham was a sign of things to come heading into 2023.
Budinger’s special moment that summer came at Kibworth, as he registered his maiden century during victory over home county Essex en route to helping Leicestershire lift the One Day Cup.
He repeated the trick against the same opposition in the same format the following summer, scoring a career-best 120 at Chelmsford.
The left-hander’s best season, however, came in 2025. Budinger notched a third List A hundred in as many years – a second at happy hunting ground Kibworth – after belting a record-breaking 15-ball fifty against Derbyshire Falcons in Leicestershire’s Vitality Blast opener.
Moreover, he secured his maiden first-class ton amidst his best ever red-ball returns, starring as an ever-present in Leicestershire’s promotion-winning side.
