A versatile left-handed batter, Minhas was added as a Leicestershire Academy scholar ahead of the 2025 campaign following a superb pre-season tour of the United Arab Emirates.
Minhas scored two centuries during one-day wins over Emirates Cricket Board outfits, averaging 72 across his six innings for the side. It followed an impressive 2024 summer, during which the 18-year-old posted his maiden Foxes ton – 112 from 99 balls in a County Cup thrashing against rivals Nottinghamshire.
So striking was his talent, Minhas was elevated to Second XI cricket during the opening month of the 2024 season, recording a composed 90 on debut when batting at six against a strong Northamptonshire attack.
